4" x 4" art tiles of Ball Player and Sedna made with the glacial clay from the Anchorage mudflats. The ball player is playing a game that calls for a walrus head to be kicked with the intent of it landing tusks into the ground with the eyes facing the kicker. It was played by people who had died before their time. The Northern Lights are them playing the game. Sedna is the Inuit goddess of the sea. The whales, seals, and fish are her children. Variations of the story can be found on the internet.
